iPhone And Environment

iPhone 13 pro max models are designed to minimize their environmental impact, including using 100% recycled rare-earth elements in magnets like those used in MagSafe and using 100% recycled gold in the plating of the main logic board and the front camera cable. And the rear cameras are 100 per cent recycled tin solder on the main logic board and, for the first time, on the battery management unit.

iPhone 13 pro max and iPhone 13 mini also feature industry-first antenna lines that use recycled plastic water bottles that have remained chemically transformed into a more robust, higher-performance material. Redesigned packaging for the iPhone 13 series eliminates 600 metric tons of plastic by destroying the outer plastic wrap, bringing Apple closer to its goal of eliminating plastic from all packaging by 2025. iPhone 13 Pro and iPhone 13 pro max meet Apple’s high energy efficiency standards. And it stays away from many harmful substances.

Today, Apple is carbon neutral for global corporate operations and plans to have a net zero climate impact across the entire company, including manufacturing supply chains and entire product lifecycles, by 2030.
