The Best Magnetic Phone Cases

Magnetic Phone Cases

You’ve probably heard that you should keep your phone away from magnetic phone cases, but there’s more to the story. While you don’t want to put interest all over your shiny new device, it does have its benefits. One of the finest ways to add a magnetic to your utility belt is to grab a handy new phone case.

What are Magnetic Phone Cases?

Magnetic phone cases come in all forms, sizes, and designs, but they all have one thing in common: the magnet. The general idea is to plug your phone into the slots of a car or bike or keep your valuables safe in a wallet. Here are some of the more basic magnetic case designs to consider:

Cases with built-in magnets – allow you to attach your phone to your car or bike mounts. So you can steer or control your music without taking your eyes off the road. The Rokform case and MagSafe options are great examples of this design.

Magnetic Standing Wallet Cases – This wallet case usually looks like a leather sheet. You can close or rotate the lid for a hands-free flowing experience. Vena’s wallet case is one of the most mutual support wallets.

Wallet Cases with Magnetic Flaps – The idea behind these wallet cases is similar to a folding kickstand, although you can’t adjust the flap. It opens more like a book and snaps back into place with thin magnets—Samsung’s wallet case bases on this type of structure.

These are the three most popular types of magnetic safes, but we won’t discuss each in detail. Our list is primarily for the first magnetic phone case, which can be attached to amount. We’ll add a wallet option.

What Should Consider in the Magnetic Phone Cases?

As in any case, there are some key features to look for in magnetic phone cases. Ultimately, the choice is yours, but here are a few things we look for in Android Authority:

Material – Whether you choose a wallet or a back-mounted magnet, you must keep an eye on the materials. At the same time, many rear-mounted cases feature TPU and polycarbonate construction and wallets based on leather (or synthetic leather) materials.

Protection: We’re talking about cases, after all. Make sure you have enough protection to withstand your adventures, especially if you plan to mount your phone on a bike.

Compatibility: Magnets are magnets, but you must ensure your case works with every other accessory. It should be thin enough to fix on any magnet, so you don’t lose your phone while cycling or on the road.

Ecosystem: Offers access to a dedicated ecosystem of accessories for various magnetic case options, cameras, grips, and countless other applications. Most prominent here is Apple’s MagSafe, but Moment’s M (force), Peak Design’s SlimLink, Rokform’s magnetic mounts and others are also big selling points.

A Note About Third-Party Magnetic Cases

Third-party vendors make most magnetic phone cases on this list, so be careful when purchasing. Here are about things to consider when buying:

Take a look at the reviews submitted by the owners. Do people say nice things? Do the reviews look real? Checks may be paid or fake if they are misspelt.

Take a closer look at the product images! If the review images are not a phone case, you are probably looking at a fake review.

Get up to date on your case return policy. Some manufacturers are good at accepting returns, but you may not have much time to search for a replacement.

We are here to help! Android Authority has plenty of guides, including ones based on battery capacity and features.
