The ecovacs Deebot T10+ is one of the latest releases from Ecovacs, along with the flagship and versatile Deebot X1 OMNI robot vacuum cleaner. In the US and Europe, Ecovacs deebot T10 doesn’t have the same name recognition as iRobot’s Roombas. Still, the brand is one of the biggest names in robotic vacuum manufacturing worldwide and offers some of the most comprehensive software and features currently available. However, the ecovacs Deebot T10+ is not a cheap robot, so it’s a good idea to check if you’re using all of its features before purchasing.
Smart gadgets can make everyday routines more convenient, while entertainment devices add value to leisure time. If you’re exploring other useful electronics, check out this portable Bluetooth speaker, designed for music and outdoor gatherings.
Design and Features of Ecovacs Deebot T10
The ecovacs Deebot T10+ is similar to the featureless disk of your standard robot vacuum cleaner. The round, elevated tower at the top is the only thing that sets it apart from a glossy white slab. On the plus side, this is part of the improved AIVI 3.0 navigation system that lets you identify and avoid everyday household items like kicking shoes.
It is quite effective and gives you a wide variety of objects like books and glasses as well as some tremendous sharp turns around the cat, but there are still issues with cables, wires and cords that are more difficult to spot or avoid. It can cause you to drag the charger around the house like a dog looking for someone to play with it.
The downside of the tower is that the robot vacuum raises its height, and in some homes, it will have trouble getting under low furniture like beds and sofas. It’s still only 10.5 cm/4.25 inches tall. Still, before you consider buying it or any other robot vacuum cleaner, we recommend measuring the space under the furniture if it’s close to the floor and finding out if it will be enough. In addition to the navigation tower, the Ecovacs Deebot T10+ has a “960P astrophotography camera” on the front. With that, Ecovacs Deebot T10 tells us this is an excellent camera, the kind of thing you wouldn’t expect to see in front of a vacuum.
Charging Station
Beyond automated home cleaning, technology can also simplify outdoor cooking. For readers interested in cooking equipment, the Masterbuilt 1050 is another product worth exploring when comparing convenient, technology-assisted appliances.
And then there’s the crude automatic loading and unloading station. 35 cm / 14 inches high, 36.5 cm / 14.5 inches wide and approximately 43 cm / 17 inches deep, including where the robot vacuum sits. It has a colour scheme of white and silver, which, depending on your point of view, makes it look a little less like a litter box than most auto-emptying slots or just an attention-grabbing litter box.
Inside the base is a 3.2-litre bag that will save you up to 60 days before replacing it. Depending on how full your vacuum box is, it can last even longer, as I did. Automatic drain systems like this are becoming more common. Among others, we tested the iRobot Roomba i7+, which can purchase with or without a base. (If space is an issue, its dock is much smaller than its Ecovacs counterpart.)
T10+ Configuration
Technology also extends beyond household appliances to practical travel accessories. For people who enjoy exploring the outdoors, a portable water purifier bottle is another useful gadget to consider when preparing for trips and outdoor activities.
Installation is easy. Connect the dock to the dock and dock the robot to start charging. Next, download the Ecovacs app, available for Apple and Android, create an account and connect your robot.
Another of the T10+ features comes into play here. In the final stages of the installation, you can activate the voice assistant by saying, “Ok, Yiko”. From there, Yiko will ask your permission to start a quick mapping to create the first map of your house.
